BCBA Consultation & Professional Mentorship

Supporting Thoughtful, Ethical, and Effective Behavior Analytic Practice

ACCESS Education Consulting provides individualized consultation, mentorship, and supervision for behavior analysts and aspiring behavior analysts seeking to strengthen their professional practice.

Dr. Emilia Endean has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst since 2014 and is a Licensed Behavior Analyst in New Jersey. With more than 20 years of experience in special education and behavior analysis, her professional background spans public school, clinical, supervisory, and interdisciplinary settings.

Consultation and mentorship emphasize the practical application of behavior-analytic principles, ethical and assent-informed practice, collaborative decision-making, and the development of skills that translate to meaningful, real-world service delivery.

BCBA Consultation & Case Conceptualization

Individual consultation is available for practicing behavior analysts seeking an additional professional perspective on complex cases, programming, or clinical and educational decision-making.

Consultation may address:

  • Case conceptualization and clinical problem-solving

  • Program development and modification

  • Data analysis and interpretation

  • Treatment integrity and implementation barriers

  • Staff and caregiver training

  • Ethical and professional considerations

  • Collaboration with interdisciplinary and educational teams

Consultation is intended to support the BCBA's professional decision-making and does not replace the treating professional's responsibility for assessment, treatment, documentation, or compliance with applicable ethical, legal, organizational, and funding requirements.

School-Based BCBA Mentorship

Bridging Behavior Analysis and Educational Practices

School-based behavior analysis requires BCBAs to apply behavior-analytic principles within the unique context of educational systems. ACCESS Education Consulting provides consultation and mentorship for BCBAs who are new to school-based practice, transitioning from clinical settings, or seeking additional support with complex educational and behavioral cases.

Dr. Emilia Endean brings a professional background that integrates behavior analysis, special education, classroom teaching, and school-based consultation. She holds an M.A. in Special Education and Teaching as Applied Behavior Analysis from Teachers College, Columbia University, and an Ed.D. in Special Education from Nova Southeastern University. She is also a New Jersey certified special education teacher and K–6 elementary teacher, with professional experience in both general and special education classrooms and more than a decade of experience practicing as a school-based BCBA.

This combination of educational and behavior-analytic experience informs mentorship that considers not only behavioral principles, but also the realities of classroom instruction, IEP implementation, interdisciplinary collaboration, educator capacity, and systems-level variables that influence student outcomes.

Consultation and mentorship may address:

  • School-based case conceptualization and problem-solving

  • Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)

  • Function-based intervention within classroom environments

  • IEP development and behaviorally relevant components of educational programming

  • Data collection and analysis in school settings

  • Consultation with teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and related service providers

  • Staff training, coaching, and Behavioral Skills Training (BST)

  • Treatment integrity and implementation barriers

  • Family-school collaboration

  • Ethical and assent-informed behavior-analytic practice

  • Navigating the role of the BCBA within interdisciplinary educational teams

  • Developing sustainable supports that can be implemented within naturally occurring school routines

Supervised Fieldwork

ACCESS Education Consulting plans to offer remote supervised fieldwork for individuals pursuing BCBA certification, when the trainee's fieldwork setting and activities allow supervision to be provided in accordance with current BACB requirements and applicable laws and regulations.

Supervision may support the development of competencies through eligible restricted and unrestricted fieldwork activities, with an emphasis on developing the higher-level assessment, analysis, program development, training, ethical decision-making, and professional collaboration skills expected of behavior analysts.

Please Note: ACCESS Education Consulting does not currently provide client placements or employment for trainees. Individuals seeking supervision must have access to an appropriate fieldwork setting and opportunities involving real clients that can satisfy applicable BACB fieldwork requirements.

Before supervision begins, the trainee's setting, activities, client access, supervision arrangements, and applicable requirements will be reviewed to determine whether an appropriate supervisory relationship can be established.

All supervised fieldwork is contingent upon a written supervision agreement and adherence to the BACB requirements in effect for the trainee's certification pathway and application timeline, as well as applicable ethical, legal, privacy, consent, and licensure requirements. The BACB specifically requires both trainees and supervisors to maintain appropriate fieldwork documentation.

Professional Standards & Supervision Notice

Behavior-analytic consultation, mentorship, and supervision provided through ACCESS Education Consulting are conducted in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts, applicable BACB certification and supervision requirements, New Jersey licensure requirements, and other applicable professional and legal standards. Services are provided only within the provider's areas of professional competence and emphasize ethical decision-making, client dignity, collaboration, confidentiality, and assent-informed practice.

The nature and scope of each professional relationship will be established prior to the initiation of services. Consultation and mentorship do not transfer responsibility for a client or case from the treating or responsible professional to ACCESS Education Consulting unless that responsibility is expressly established through a separate written service agreement.

BACB supervised fieldwork is offered only when an appropriate supervisory relationship can be established in accordance with the BACB requirements in effect for the trainee's certification pathway and application timeline. ACCESS Education Consulting does not currently provide employment or client placements for trainees. Prospective supervisees must have access to an appropriate fieldwork setting, clients, and activities that permit applicable supervision requirements to be met. A formal supervision agreement and required permissions must be established before supervised fieldwork begins.

Participation in supervision does not guarantee that all activities or hours will qualify toward BACB certification, eligibility for certification, or successful completion of the BCBA examination. Trainees and supervisors are responsible for maintaining required documentation and meeting their respective obligations under applicable BACB requirements.
